HOW TO REACH THE REFUGE OF CERTASCAN

  • We have to reach the village of Llavorsí in the N-260 road:
        - By the South to access from the mainland Spain, we pass through Lleida, Tremp and Sort.
       - By the North is the best option to come from Donosti or from France through Viella, the port of the Bonaigua (in winter we have to find out if it is open or chains are required) and Esterri d'Àneu.
  • From Llavorsí we must to divert to the village of Tavascan, where the asphalted road ends.

- 7 km. of forest road until the parking of Canalada at 45 minutes on foot of the refuge. In November of 2000, was closed the access to vehicles at the Montalto dam and perhaps we could only take a taxi, it will be better to find out about the current situation.

- From the Montalto dam to refuge Certascan 3 hours on foot either along the forest road until Canalada or the path of Llurri.

  • To access in winter we follow the forest road until the place where the snow starts. Normally this will involve us approximately 3-4 hours with snowshoes or skies, but they can be 2 to 5 hours depending the point we reach with the car.

From France to the ski resort of Guzet Neige and Prat Matau 4'50 hours on foot.
