1 and 2. ACCESS TO THE REFUGE OF CERTASCAN

By the N-260 road we have to arrive until the village of Llavorsí. Here we turn right at the diversion and after of 4 kms., we turn to the left until the village of Tavascan at 1117m., where the asphalted road finishes. Here continues the forest road that goes up the Lladorre river and we can continue by vehicle until the snow blocks us the way. Even though at the beginning of the winter we will must leave the vehicle near of Tavascan, normally we will arrive until the dam of Montalto at 1500m.,and at 6 kms. of Tavascan where we will turn the diversion to the left. In the Easter normally we will arrive until the 1800 m. and we will still have 3 to 4 kms., until Canalada at 2.000 m., (we must be careful at the last half km. for the risk about avalanches)where we will take the path to the refuge Certascan.

(1) The habitual route goes up for the right of the waterfall in NE direction at the mountain of Llurri and like at 2100 meters, turns to the west to go to find the headwater of the waterfall where we will see a small lake and the refuge. If we can is better that we pass the lake for the south, due to the

possible avalanches risk of the peak of Punturri.
(2) In winter I prefer to go up from Canalada until the dam and follow a channel to the west until the 2200 meters where I flank to the north to overcome a ridge and arrive to the refuge.
